The worst kept secret in show business has finally been confirmed – the judging panel for the upcoming season of American Idol will include Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
Unlike the rest of the world, I’m actually most excited for Jennifer Lopez. Back in 2007 I really enjoyed her stint as a mentor on the show. As for Steven Tyler, I think that could go either way. I like Aerosmith enough, but I have no idea what he’ll be like as a judge. And personally, I wish they hadn’t kept Jackson. I used to like the guy, but he’s been sounding tired for seasons now. I mean, for me for him dawg, he’s just not hittin’ it out of the park and ending up in the dawg house every week, you know?
What do you think of the new judging panel? It was obviously no surprise, but now that it’s been confirmed are you excited or disappointed?
That's a surprise to me! I didn't hear anything about the new judges :p I'm kind of surprised that JLO and Steven Tyler agreed to do it.
It's been rumored online for a long time, and they just wouldn't confirm it. I think it was a bad call, because it gave people too much time to criticize it before the official announcement was even made. I think it could be really cool, they're definitely big stars with a lot of experience in the music industry.
