American Idol Results

I didn’t catch the results episode of American Idol tonight – I was at a live streaming of This American Life, which is an infinitely better way to spend a Thursday night. But like a dedicated TV blogger, I’ve Googled the results.

Hollie Cavanagh is out, huh? I was hoping it would be Phillip, and I read he was in the bottom two which gives me some hope for my coveted Joshua vs. Jessica final two diva-off. But I knew that was unlikely, and that Hollie was the next most acceptable elimination. So I’m OK with this. What did you guys think?

They did not really do a bottom 2. Just went over their performances and Jimmy’s comments, then when elimination came all 4 were up there together. They told Jessica she was in the final 3, then Josh, which left P2 and Hollie, but Ryan never said that was the bottom 2.

This was supposed to be the girls year. Now we’ve got two guys and one girl (literally) left. That is disappointing. Really was rooting for Hollie to pull through. Voice talent there — but just lacking the stage presence and ability to deliver LIVE. As to this final three — would say Joshua ought to win. Will he? Doesn’t matter. Guarantee this guy gets a record deal and becomes huge. Skylar as well. If Jessica gets good material to sing, and some good management she could soar. Just don’t see the P2 future win or lose. My daughter thinks he’ll be a giant star. I’m still missing Deandre.
