Survivor One World – Ponderosa Update

I’m all caught up on Survivor Ponderosa videos, and some of them are worth watching.

I watched Kat’s last weeek but didn’t have time to write about it before the finale. Kat really was an emotional wreck after getting voted out – she was sobbing in the van about how everyone lied to her, and questioning whether they’d even really liked her all along. She took it hard and very personally, but she pulled it together quickly and as we saw at Final Tribal Council, was able to move on more quickly than some of the other voted out players. So I think Kat’s first Ponderosa video is worth watching.

Kat was really upset with Alicia when she arrived at Ponderosa, though. There was screaming and fighting – this is one Ponderosa video you guys should definitely watch. Tarzan also gave her the cold shoulder, and Alicia was surprised people were holding grudges.

I am no Alicia fan, but I liked that she knew where she made a mistake, owned it, and didn’t hold a grudge. There’s nothing I hate more than people who get voted out and insist they did nothing wrong. Alicia said she never should have agreed to get rid of Tarzan, and that she shouldn’t have trusted Kim so much. But instead of being angry with Kim, she was impressed by her.

Even though Kat was so emotional the night Alicia arrived, she once again moved on pretty quickly and by the next day they were talking and hanging out together. Tarzan, however, had a really hard time forgiving Alicia and still wasn’t really speaking with her a couple days later. And Troy, he couldn’t admit at all that he’d been outplayed and couldn’t get past the fact that he was no longer in the game.

Other interesting tidbits: Christina lost over 20lbs, which was quite a bit for one of the girls (Alicia and Kat were both around 15lbs) and it seemed like there was some kind of flirty thing going on with Kat and Michael. I was surprised, I would have guessed her and Jay would be a likelier item.

I’m with you, Jill I found Troy completely infuafersble and arrogant. He was like a little child; things didn’t go his way, and he threw a tantrum and sulked. I tend to root for the underdog, but Troy was an awful Survivor player so I wasn’t havin’ it. Even though the votes have been pretty predictable thus far, I’ve found the season fairly entertaining. The votes are never set 100% in stone, and of these sort of one tribe taking out the other types of scenarios we sometimes get, this one has been a lot more up in the air and with greater chance that the plans might go awry. Like with the vote this week. How lucky is it that Kim & co. when deciding to split the vote didn’t split it 50/50 like we’ve always seen happen? If they had, Troy would have still be around! Used to feel a little bad for Christina, but she’s kind of a been moron this entire time. Clearly she’s not thinking about anything in the game, or if she is, she just doesn’t get it. At all. As much as I wasn’t a fan of Troy and he needed to go, I kind of wish the plan had backfired and gotten Christina out. Because it would have been funny in the same way that Tyson essentially voting himself out in HvV was. Though it also might be entertaining if she ended up at the final tribal council. She’d get it baaad. I think Christina has become the new goat . Tarzan seems too risky to take to the end now. He actually has a case for winning, whereas Christina’s game play is just laughable. I’m rooting for Kim at this point since she’s really the only one playing and deserving of the win. But I think she also made the mistake this week of winning (and twice). She’s putting herself at the front of the pack too soon and painting herself as a threat. When it’s girl cannibalizing time, I fear some of the other ladies might see that as too threatening and knock her out earlier. Though she does seem to have people under her thumb, so hopefully her relationships are strong enough to keep her afloat until the end.

Dear Jill,I am afraid we will have to break up. It is clear that you are in love with Kim. I get it. I love Kim. Everyone loves Kim. But I can only take so much of the Kim-lovefest. This might be the wekaest group of survivors I have ever seen. She is probably one of the better players this year .but that’s like putting Kat in a kinder garden class and calling her a genius. Lets be clear Kim is no Boston rob.And this is NOT like when Boston Rob dominated. Not even close. I have a feeling you might have got caught up in the blog and your office pool and maybe overstated things just a wee bit. Or maybe a lot. Seriously, did you just say that? I guess Kim would get my nod to be the most deserving (who are left) but for me its only a slight edge. I’ll give her props for planting the seed to get Michael off but aside from that I think she has had luck on her side more than cunning and guile. There are some seriously BAD players this season.p.s. There are some cute girls not sure if I would peg Kim for being the prettiest. Chelsea and Christina are ahead in my books.
