Well, that was a result I didn’t expect. I thought Jessica might go home last night. I hoped Phillip would. But Joshua? I thought he was safe for sure.
Needless to say, I’m disappointed. I really wanted to see a diva-off with Joshua and Jessica in the final two, and as I said last night I don’t want to see Phillip, yet another guitar-strumming, non-threatening, white pop-rock singer, take the title.
I didn’t watch the show last night so I have no other comments, but I’m really disappointed. What do you guys think?

See my comments on your recap of the performance show. Which by the way, I thought your commentary was spot on. The best was sent home. Presume that’s due to tween girls voting with their immature libido, rapid text/phoning skills, and utter disregard for musical ability. And, while I hope Jessica wins both on talent and on the need for this show to produce a female Idol, I’m resigned to fact that P2 will win, tour with these other talents who will be the draw for their shows, cut some forgettable album with some mediocre hit pimped by the AI machine that will be forgotten or ignored by those same tweens, and fall off the radar aside from when AI showcases him like he is somebody over the next couple of years. Let’s be honest here. The last AI winner of any importance was David Cook — subsequently out shined by David Archuleta and Brooke White. Adam Lambert outshines Kris Allen. Katherine McPhee has excelled past Taylor Hicks. Haley is doing well. I’m not sure Lauren or Scotty will have sophomore albums. But I don’t follow country. But Skylar, Jessica and most certainly Joshua Ledet have great careers ahead of them. I salute these judges, who usually I like to dis, for finding/promoting/facilitating a pretty good Final 12 that included (thanks for saving) Jessica and Joshua. Made the shows watchable.
Thanks for the comments! We don’t always agree, but we sure do on this!
