Girls – Dumb & Coke

girlsFinally, a 20-something experience that I can’t relate to! Doing coke and sleeping with a junkie in the name of art.

This week on Girls, Hannah and Elijah did coke together so that Hannah could get “out of her comfort zone” for a writing assignment. The results were, of course, hilarious. Elijah told Hannah that he slept with Marnie and she, of course, freaked out. Marnie was making her own bad life choices, hooking up with the creepy, arrogant artist dude who she met last season.

I don’t have a lot to say about this episode. It was funny, but not my favorite. I wish there’d been more Shoshanna. What did you guys think?

Word. This show in general needs more Shoshanna. She’s magic.

I heard next week is going to be a good episode for one of the characters we haven’t seen much of yet this season. It could be Jessa, but I want so badly for it to be Shosh.

I love the show, but didn’t really get this episode, although hilarious, where was Adam? and more Shoshanna? I definitely like her, just find her hard to deal with at times, too zippy.
Didn’t really like the creepy artist Booth either. He was too freaky for my liking.

This episode felt a little odd to me, and perhaps it’s like you mentioned at the beginning, I couldn’t relate to it. I have been enjoying Season 2 as a whole so far, but I do feel it’s been a little too heavy on the Elijah and a little too light on the Girls. Also, I kept waiting for some fallout for Marnie bailing on her shift. I kept waiting for her to get a phone call asking where the hell was she, or at least a text saying she had been fired. I hope they follow up on this next week.

Did she leave her shift? I assumed she just went with the dude when she was done, but I wasn’t paying great attention. I agree, I wouldn’t mind if Elijah fades into the background – I think Hannah makes him move out because of the Marnie thing?
